Svima kojima bi ubuduće mogle biti potrebne usluge Generalnog konzulata u Aucklandu Nažalost, nakon gotovo dvadeset godina uspješnog rada Generalnog Konzulata Republike Hrvatske u Aucklandu, izviješćujemo vas da vlasti u Hrvatskoj ozbiljno razmišljaju ukidanje istog ili degradiranje na počasni Konzulat . It concerns everyone who may need the services of the Croatian Consulate General in the future Regretfully, after almost 20 years of providing service to the citizens of Croatia residing in New Zealand and other New Zealand residents who needed the assistance with various matters, Croatian Consulate General in Auckland has to inform all the potential users that the authorities are seriously considering closing down the Consulate General or degrading it to the Honorary Consulate.
Kako bi počasni Konzulat bio drugačiji od sadašenjeg Generalnog konzulata ? Počasni konzul je osoba isključivo zadužena za realizaciju gospodarskih projekata i kulturnih aktivnosti, te služi samo kao spona izmedu dviju država. U počasnom Konzulatu ne bi bilo zaposleno stručno osoblje kojem bi se mogli obratiti svojim zahtjevima, te bi stoga bilo isključeno i njihovo promptno rješavanje. Budući da poznavanje hrvatskog zakonodavstva i propisa nije uvjet za poslovanje počasnog Konzulata, to isti ne bi bio u mogućnosti pružati brojne usluge zbog kojih se stranke obraćaju Konzulatu. How would Honorary Consulate differ from the existing Consulate General ? Honorary Consul is a person solely in charge for realization of the economic projects and the cultural events and his/hers obligation is to acts as a tie between the two countries. Honorary Consulate does not employ professional staff who you would be able to approach in the case of need or address your requests to, therefore your requests would not be able to be processed on the spot. Consequently, as being familiar with the Croatian legal system, law and regulations is not a prerequisite for the operation of the Honorary Consulate, various services as well as processing of your applications would not be possible. Da, pošto počasni Konzulat ne bi mogao pružati nikakve konzularne usluge, koje Vam je Generalni konzulat tijekom godina pružao. Does that mean that having a Honorary Consulate, for the citizens of the Republic of Croatia, is the same as not having one at all? Yes, because honorary Consulate would not be able to provide any consular service the Consulate General has been providing throughout the years.
Sto to znači za mene? To znači da bi se sve usluge koje je do sada obavljao Konzulat u Aucklandu morale najvjerojatnije obaviti u Canberri tj. od strane Hrvatskog Veleposlanstva u Canberri ili drugog konzularnog predstavništva u Australiji. How does that effect me? It means all the services that Croatian Consulate General was providing so far would, most probably need to be carried out in or by the Croatian Embassy in Canberra, or other Croatian consular office based in Australia.
